Here's to 2018!
January 15, 2018
Christmas is FINALLY over with - thank god! At the moment, I work in hospitality, so Christmas is just such a crazy time for us. I've worked every day since mid November, including Christmas and Boxing Day, so I'm glad for it all to be over and to finally have some time to relax and see family.
On the 28th of December, my boyfriend and I headed to Liverpool to see his family and do Christmas with them! It was such a relaxing week and so great to spend some time together. As December was so hectic we barely saw each other so the week away really did us some good.
I'm really hoping this year lives up to my expectations! Last year was amazing - I completed some incredible work experience at YOU Magazine, wrote a 22,000 word dissertation, graduated, worked my arse off and saved enough money to move to London, visited Phoebe in Madrid and went to the Lake District for the first time. With all of its ups and downs, and blood, sweat and tears thanks to uni, last year was amazing and filled with memories I could never forget. I accomplished things I never thought I could, and I hope this year brings as much success as last year. I have high hopes and big expectations!
Last week I finallllly managed to meet up with a good friend of mine from uni, Caitlin, and we popped to Peggy Porshen's for coffee and a catch up. It's safe to say it did not disappoint! A nice afternoon before heading to my first shift back at work.
Now, back into reality, I'm working whilst continuing on the job search. One of my New Year's resolutions is to be more positive towards life, so I'm sure something will come up soon! We'll see how that resolution lasts before I'm back in my old ways and moaning about menial things.
I certainly intend on blogging a lot more frequently. I've got a lot of inspiration from other bloggers I read and a lot of things I want to blog about, I just need to perfect the whole picture thing and I'm good to go! Another resolution is to stop worrying what others think of me and focus on myself, so I'm going to implement that within my blog. It's certainly time to stop comparing my life to others and focus on making myself happy.
I've got a few posts planned, including a small round up of Christmas presents and my favourite beauty products from 2017! Keep your eyes peeled - I promise I'll get better at this whole blogging thing.
How's your 2018 going so far?
