My go-to eyeshadow palette for the past few months has undoubtedly been the Violet Voss Holy Grail. It is so easy to create an effortless everyday look, or a flawless evening look! This palette was on my wishlist for so long, yet it was so hard to get hold of in the UK without paying ridiculously priced customs fees. I was sat in class in university when it got re-released on Beauty Bay and I just had to order it there and then before it sold out again.

The holographic design of the palette makes it unique to other palettes I have. It comes with 20 shades, from nudes to warm red tones; any warm toned palette has me drawn in straight away!

The palette is very pigmented, so you only need a little on your brush at a time! This allows you to blend the colours better and add more to build up the colour and achieve your desired look. There is a mix of matte and glitter shades, adding to it's versatility. I find the colours so easy to blend and they work so well together. It's so easy to create different looks due to the colour diversity and by adding a little glitter to a matte look.

I can't wait for Autumn so I can create darker looks and this is definitely the perfect palette for it. Next on my wishlist is definitely a couple of the Tarte palettes to see how they compare. So far, the Holy Grail has certainly lived up to its name!

What do you think of the palette and what are your everyday eyeshadows?

I am, without a doubt, a self-confessed Zara addict. I can't help it. I absolutely adore it. I just endlessly scroll through the website adding to my never-ending wishlist that my bank balance hates me for!

So, of course, their new collection is absolutely amazing. So many different prints, fabrics and styles! I am currently lusting over five coats and can't decide which one to buy, so it's a good thing it's my birthday soon.

Anyway, after my most recent trip, I bought an amazing shirt. It's a silk-like, floral shirt. It's green with mustard flowers over it with a pleated detail. It's such an eye-catching statement shirt and each time I've worn it, I've received so many compliments on it.

I tend to wear it with black jeans as I wouldn't class this weather as summer anymore, however, do wish it had been released earlier in the year so I could have paired it with some white jeans. I'm currently awaiting a midi denim skirt in the post that I'm going to wear with it!

I just love it. It's a really versatile element added to my wardrobe and goes with so many different things! At £25.99, I think it's an absolute bargain and certainly looks like it cost a lot more. It's so flattering on and fits so well. Definitely a good purchase!

Highlighter’s are a complete weakness of mine. I have SO many it’s actually ridiculous. My personal favourite for a long time is, of course, MAC’s Soft and Gentle. Even though it’s quite expensive, my god, is it worth it! I build it up so my cheeks are brighter than my future.

I am a big fan of Topshop’s make-up range. I love the packaging and their make-up is of such a good quality for a high street brand in my opinion! I love their lipsticks and I buy one almost every time I go into Topshop. So, of course, as soon as I found out they released their liquid highlighters, I HAD to get my hands on one.

I did it! I managed to pick one up – and the last one in my local store may I add. They’re similar to the ICONIC liquid highlighters in the sense of the drop feature. I managed to get my hands on the shade ‘Misty’ – a gorgeous rose gold colour.

I am head over heels in love. I think it’s my new favourite. That’s quite a big thing as Soft and Gentle is my recommendation for anyone that’s ever asked me about a highlighter.

As it’s a liquid highlighter, you do need to blend it. Blend, blend, blend. Do not forget this. I just dot it onto my cheeks and blend from there, however, if you don’t blend enough it is very noticeable where you’ve tried, and failed to. My boyfriend actually told me the other day I needed to blend it more and I just sat there shell-shocked (I didn’t even realise he was paying attention all the times I’ve stressed how important blending is in my make-up rambles!) However, I did notice when he said it that it was just in a line on my cheek.

When you have blended it, it leaves a gorgeous glow! You do not need to apply a lot at all! I start with three small diagonal dots going up my cheek bones, and if I think I need more, I just add one more at a time, blend, and evaluate how it is. It will definitely last long due to the little you need each time!

It is honestly SUCH a good highlighter, and for just £12, you can’t really go wrong! I definitely want to pick up one of the golder shades to see how they are. I often go for lighter highlighters, so maybe it’s time to branch out a bit and step out of my comfort zone! It’s definitely a thumbs up from me.

Have you tried this one? Or can you recommend your go-to highlighter for me to try?

I seem to have developed an addiction to buying make-up. I neither have the funds, nor knowledge of applying, to own as many eyeshadow palettes as I do, but hey, that’s what YouTube tutorials and make-up artist best friends are for, right?

I absolutely adore Anastasia Beverly Hills products. I find them so easy to use and they never fail to impress me. I've used the Dipbrow and Brow-Wiz for a long time now and wouldn't even consider using anything different on my eyebrows! I also have a couple of liquid lipsticks that I am in love with. The formula of them enables it to stay on all day and it just glides on the lips so easily - it's certainly an ever-expanding collection of mine.

After receiving the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance as a Christmas present (thanks mum!), I completely fell in love with it. The colours are so pigmented and so original! They blend together so well, and it’s so easy to combine different colours to make different looks.

When I saw that the Subculture palette was announced, obviously I NEEDED it. The shades are amazing and perfect for my upcoming Autumn wardrobe. I managed to get my hands on one on the release date from the UK ABH website; I couldn’t believe it!

However, I then proceeded to see some mixed reviews about it. Holly Boon – a make-up artist and blogger whose opinion is like the holy grail – stated she didn’t like it and that it didn’t blend very well. I was quite surprised to be honest, Modern Renaissance was so successful; how could this not live up to the same standard?!

I’d already ordered it at this point so was pretty gutted. However, when it arrived, I didn’t have the heart to send it back. I’ve seen some beauty bloggers create some amazing looks with the palette, so I’m going to do what I usually do and attempt to poorly recreate them! My Modern Renaissance palette has quite a bit of fall out – something that a lot of people have complained about regarding the Subculture palette, so I’m not overly concerned about that.

I feel like the ABH palettes can’t really be compared to other palettes such as the Morphe ones – they are such different palettes with different ingredients, and to my knowledge, are pressed differently, creating a different outcome!

So far, I like it! I’ve swatched the colours and it seems fine to me so far. Each to their own, I guess! Everyone should form their own opinions of products, and not just completely rely on others opinions.

I’ve finally got around to setting up a new blog. I started one in my first year of university, but didn’t update it much due to uni work, so I’ve decided to start fresh.

I’m a recent Journalism graduate and have just moved to London with my boyfriend. I’m starting my blog to continue my love of writing and I’m going to incorporate fashion, beauty, and lifestyle into it. Basically, it’s going to be a bit of everything!

I’ve got an unhealthy obsession with buying things I definitely do not need – so why not put it into a post instead of spamming the group chat with it! There'll just be a mix of make-up, clothes, home accessories and the odd post about a holiday. Just a bit of everything really; I'll probably throw some life advice in at some point.

Student life is finally over and I've jumped into the real world pretty quickly; I haven't moved back to my parents like I always thought I would, and have gone straight to South London, so it's time for the next chapter to begin - hopefully exciting times ahead.
